PSA: 8 Utterly Useless Father’s Day Gifts

Usually, I skip the whole Father’s Day buying extravaganza.  My father has everything he needs… and the money to buy what he doesn’t… and well, he’ll be happy if I wrap an empty shoebox for him.  (You know, it IS the thought that counts.)  But oh crap… he may be in town for this go-around, so I guess I’ll have to suck it up and buy something for him.  (Note: I didn’t say that it had to be a “nice” something…)

In the efforts to make this blog more useful, here are eight gift ideas that I know will have you Dad say…   ummm… thanks?

1.)  iPod Toilet Paper Holder… for the Dad that needs his music “on the go”

2.) Crystal Golf Balls… for the Dad that just likes to break things.  With Clubs.   Get the Crystal Golf Club for the matching set!

4.) The Singing and Dancing “Matzo Man…”  for the the macho Jewish Dad that can’t get enough Matzo

5.)  The Skymall World’s Largest Write-on Map… for the Dad that likes to wallpaper… well, maps.  (Note: I’ve always wondered if anyone actually buys anything in the Skymall catalog…)

6.)  The 2011 Dog Doo Calendar… for the Dad that loves the dog more than you… *cry*

7.) The “Borrow My Pen” Set… with classics such as “Springfield Sexual Addiction Center” to your friendly Nudist Camp… your Dad is sure to leave an impression when he “accidentally” leaves them lying around.  (Ed: Hell, I’ll buy a set for myself)

8.) Darth Vadar: World’s Best Dad T-shirt… for the Dad that, well, you just want to mess with…

Get thee to a store now and spoil your Dad rotten!  (Or not.)

  12. First of all I want to say terrific blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thank you!
